An exciting opportunity has arisen in our expanding Direct division for an Assistant Merchandiser. Direct is a massive growth are for us with further strong growth plans in the next 3 years.
As an Assistant Merchandiser your key responsibilities will be to support the Trading Manager in the potentialising the sales and profit potential.

You will also have responsibility for daily figure analysis and working with key contacts to ensure your part of the web site works in a customer focused way, as well as communicating closely with the core B&M teams.

Candidate Requirements:
Debenhams offer fantastic training and development opportunities so you will be a career focused individual looking to build on your experience to date. You will be either an AM or established AM currently, ready to take on your next Assistant Merchandiser challenge or move into a Junior Merchandiser role.

Previous e-commerce experience is not essential but desirable, however an understanding and a passion for Internet trading is a must.
Above all you will need a proactive approach to problem solving, be highly analytical, possess sound commercial acumen and a genuine interest in the retail market.
Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility and enthusiasm are also essential to succeed in this role, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.
