COMRAD was founded in 1987 and has evolved with a focus specifically on providing software products for the radiology market. COMRAD has grown steadily throughout the 1990's and has accelerated in growth since 2005 with the introduction of a significantly enhanced product offering, new shareholding, and the establishment of a board of directors who have overseen rapid expansion in the Australian market.
With an 80% share of the New Zealand radiology market, and a focused expansion into Australia (currently sitting at 30%), COMRAD's growth in the last few years has been rapid with the product installed in over 390 practices in Australasia including in some of the largest radiology service providers in the world.
COMRAD operates from offices located in Christchurch and Auckland in New Zealand and from Melbourne and Sydney in Australia.
Due to growth within their current software development team, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Java Developer who will play an integral part in the ongoing development and support of the core RIS solution. Taking a technical leadership role within the team, you will be designing and developing new modules and features and will act as a mentor and guide to more junior level developers.
As a Senior Developer you will also have the opportunity to contribute heavily to a significant process improvement initiative currently underway within the business, reshaping the way in which software solutions are developed, tested, deployed and supported.
To add the value we are seeking in this position, it is envisaged you will possess:
- 5 years+ commercial Java development experience
- Proficiency in the use of SQL, Postgres, and Linux
- Experience in the use of manual and automated testing methodologies
- Exposure to release management practices
- Exposure to JBoss and Agile development experience would be a definite advantage
