Title: Outside Sales
LOCATION: Central or Southern California (BAKERSFIELD, FRESNO, South Coast, etc.) and be able to work out of a home office.
Office set-up will be provided.
Experienced sales professional to drive the growth of products and equipment business throughout central California. This role will call on prospective and existing municipal, governmental, and commercial customers to drive new sales and manage existing accounts.
Experience and Skills
Successful candidates should possess:
College degree in business, agribusiness or equivalent combination experience and education.
3+ years outside sales/business development experience in a similar or related industry (i.e., agchem, wastewater treatment, water quality testing, environmental services, habitat restoration, ecological services, lawn & turf or turf and ornamental).
Education and experience should reflect business orientation and aptitude and interest in sciences or related field(s).
Experience calling on municipals and governmental accounts is a plus.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing an aggressive strategy for lead generation, qualification, bid processing and ultimately for closing the deal.
Mechanical aptitude & abilities | Excellent interpersonal & verbal communication skills
Computer proficiency and ability to create and produce reports, business correspondence and presentations.
Travel up to 50% during season (March - October).
