LIS Analyst
TITLE: Clinical Application Analyst
AREA OF ASSIGNMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: As required to fulfill responsibilities.

PRE-REQUISITES:
A. Associate Degree or Professional Diploma in appropriate clinical specialty (nursing, medical technology, pharmacy, medicine, radiology etc) is required (three (3) or more years experience as a clinical application analyst in an acute care or ambulatory setting may satisfy this requirement). Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Specialty, Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred.
B. Minimum of Two (2) years experience in an acute care or ambulatory care setting required.
C. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed, learn quickly with strong attention to detail.
D. Proven record of excellent leadership, communications, and organization skills.
E. Demonstrated ability to work with computer systems and personal computers.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Experience with currently installed computer and telephone equipment, and operating systems.
B. Ability to work independently and in teams with good problem solving, communication, and organizational skills.
C. Diligent, results-oriented work habits.
D. Ability to set priorities, produce accurate work, and meet deadlines; ability to function in a setting with a wide variety of duties and numerous interruptions.
E. Demonstrated competence in analysis and trouble-shooting.
F. Participated in project implementation
G. Demonstrated understanding of healthcare computing environments.
H. Demonstrated continued professional development in applicable areas.
