Job Description

The Systems Develop will design, develop, and document systems management software products which meet the Company’s standards of performance, functionality, reliability and marketability.



Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop systems management, enhancement, and performance evaluation tools for database products in a client server environment. 
  • Act as internal technical advisor in the design and development of systems management tools.
  • Develops product specifications for software products and enhancements.
  • Develops detailed design of software features and products to meet established objectives.
  • Directs and reviews the work and design of other less senior developers and engineers.
  • Writes source code and performs unit testing and debugs software components.
  • Writes internal and external documentation for software.
  • Provides high-level technical expertise and training to other departments in order to support software products.
  • Provides occasional technical customer support and consultation service related to product installation and application.
  • Fixes highly complex software problems reported by customers, which have been referred by InterSystems support staff.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as requested.

Qualifications:

Essential

  • 8+ years of programming experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of systems management tool development experience
  • Experience in C, C++, Visual Basic
  • Highly technical knowledge of operating systems, compiler and interpreter methods, software engineering techniques, software interfaces and computer languages


Desirable

  • Familiarity with InterSystems Products

Education & Training

Essential

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent
