EOUSA General Integration Core Support

Objective/Purpose- To provide continuous support to develop and maintain
a VMWare configured environment.

Background/Project Description- This SOW is seeking an engineer with
VMWare engineering experience. The Engineer shall be proficient in IT
implementations of tiered storage systems and technology to provide
design, engineering, security, and operational support, and troubleshoot
technical aspects of an enterprise-wide document and records
management system. This includes an understanding of how all
components connect to and integrate with the Server Virtualization
applications, Vsphere, Microsoft Active Directory environment parameters,
information lifecycle management software applications and all other
enterprise and storage platform and application system components.
The objectives shall be in line with the Server Virtualization Project
Objectives and achieved through a phased approach. Once the Server
Virtualization Project is complete, the engineer will provide steady state
support for the systems fielded for that project, as well as provide
engineering support for new VMWare projects as they are identified.The
duties to meet the objectives and deliverables in line with the scope of
work may be allocated through division between any or all contractor
personal assigned to this initiative as required. The Contractor shall perform
all tasks and provide all deliverables as specified.

Detailed Tasks- The engineer will:
· Maintain the lab virtual environment to facilitate self provisioning, if requested,
and to test production systems such as the disaster recovery model for the
production VM systems.
· Support the production VMWare servers by engineering upgrade paths for new
versions of the VMWare, engineer any application patches and plan the delivery
of the package, assist the steady state engineers located at the Network
Operations Center, Columbia SC.
· Design, develop and deploy the VMWare servers and VMWare related
applications.
· Provide Tier 3 engineering support for fielded systems.
· Act as the Senior VMWare consultant for all BAE VMWare projects for EOUSA.
· Design, develop and deploy VM solutions to support District remote or direct
connection via WAN to file shares or COOP operations.
· Support other VM requirements in the USAO environment.
· VCP certification required
· VCAP preferred
