Job Description

Located in Malvern, Worcestershire, the Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Systems UK Business Unit of UTC Aerospace Systems designs, builds and supports operational level Systems and Software for ISR data acquisition, management and exploitation.

UTC Aerospace Systems is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to take challenging role within a small team to carry out software engineering duties across the whole software lifecycle on major UK & Overseas projects.

Suitable candidates will have:

* Technical and numerical background,
* High level of communication skills,
* Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle,
* Ability to work well within a team,
* Proficient in the use of Quality Management Systems.

Skills required for this role include:

* Ability to design, implement and test object orientated software in C++ on a Linux platform
* Building and installing software
* Ability to analyse requirements and generate tests to ensure the requirements are met.
* Good problem solving and bug tracking skills
* Ability to produce and execute tests, ranging from unit tests to system tests.
* Scripting languages, preferably perl
