My Client, a company at the forefront of Avionics, is seeking a Design Quality Engineer.   The successful candidate will have thorough knowledge of ISO9000 and AS9100, they will also possess extensive auditing experience and hold a current IRCA (or equivalent) accredited audit qualification.   In return the successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and generous benefits package..

• Attending/hosting customer audits and inspections
• Determining and advising on contractual QA requirements
• Presentation of the Quality activities undertaken by the end customer
• Involved in complete development lifecycle including Design Review, Software reviews, Software audits, Drawing review and approval, Internal and external verification activities.
• Understand, utilise and improve internal processes and tools for the development, analysis and evaluation of engineering products and processes
• Assist in maintenance of company business system
• Resolving of customer issues and complaints, focal point for customer satisfaction initiatives

• Extensive experience in a quality role
• Experience working within defence industry
• Thorough knowledge of ISO9000/AS9100
• Extensive auditing experience and preferably holder of a current IRCA (or equivalent) accredited audit qualification
• Educated to HND or Degree Level
• Working knowledge of SAP or similar MRP/ERP system
• Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or similar process improvement methodologies
• Working knowledge of the principles of CMMI
