 Skills and Education Requirements:

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• At least 2 years experience with microcontrollers based embedded products and systems
• 2 or more years of C, C++ or C# code development experience

Test engineer will be responsible for working with Embedded product developers, to design, implement, and conduct feature and system level product tests.  These tests will:

• Validate satisfaction of product requirements
• Confirm compliance to Crestron Technology standards and confirm interoperation by testing with other Crestron products and systems
• Daily duties will include analyzing test results, formulating hypothesis and deciding on the most direct paths to uncover root causes of operational problems. The Test Engineer will work with development Engineers to insure proposed solutions address the root causes. The Test Engineer will provide support the product development team as needed, facilitating tests and writing development utilities.

The Test Engineer:

• Must demonstrate ability to define and execute feature and system level product functional tests
• Have the ability to create clear and concise written defect documentation
• Have the ability to work independently, to multitask and work with minimal supervision
• Must possess good problem solving skills and demonstrate attention to detail
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to develop test plans, test scenarios and test cases based on product usage , technical specifications and product knowledge
