This candidate will work as a contributing member of our Thomson Healthcare Internet Delivery (THIDS) Platform Infrastructure and shared services teams.  The THIDS Infrastructure team within the Healthcare business of Thomson Reuters is responsible for designing, developing, and launching web based applications to assist our customers in making informed healthcare decisions.
This position is responsible for the content publishing and management processes for content within THIDS. The steps include understanding the requirements, designing and implementing content management solutions for the platform.

 

The successful candidate will be able to follow the existing change management and release management processes and policies and contribute in process improvement.

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Exceptional design, code and testing skills
• Capable of identifying issues and driving them to resolution with very little supervision
• Contributes to project proposals and RFP responses including providing estimation, resource requirements and high level solution architecture.
• Communicates appropriately up and down the management chain.
• Guides, directs and teaches less-experienced staff members.
• Manages small technical project deliverables with other staff members.
• 5-10 years Java/J2EE programming experience
• Experience with OOAD and Data Modeling
• Experience with Oracle preferred
• Experience with Analytic Reporting and GIS application a plus
• Experience with Healthcare application development is a plus
• BS in Computer Science or related technical field
• 5+ years experience developing commercial software applications in a structured environment
