Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement Specialist
The OpEx/Continuous Process Improvement Specialist is responsible for leading change and engaging people in making improvements that support site objectives resulting in quantifiable improvements to safety, quality, delivery and cost. Will communicate and execute improvement plans while coaching people and embedding Lean practices to achieve our product quality, supply goals and significant business objectives. Facilitate cross-functional teams to drive improvements with quantifiable results at the production floor level through the value stream level. Lead and manage a variety of Kaizens, and other improvement activities, conduct industrial engineering studies to quantify lead times, resource requirements, and improvement opportunities and participate in efforts to implement ongoing process management mechanisms.
BS in Science, Engineering, or Operations and a minimum of 5 years' experience in Engineering, Operations, or Operations Management roles 3+ yrs experience in an industrial shop floor environment. Experience with Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Lean concepts (5S, TPM, SMED, and Poka-Yoke for process ranging from shop-floor to back-office) and use of SPC, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
