Job Description
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance optimization of the rental tool fleet. This encompasses full responsibility and the related ownership of down tools, rework parts, and damage tools.
Employee Duties:
Ownership in maintaining the integrity of the down tool process, which includes but is not limited to;
-Maintain accuracy of the down tool report, with weekly reporting to the district manager
-Maintain and adjust down tool status sheets
-Work with inventory manager to ensure parts are ordered for down tools
-Ensure inventory specific to down tools is pulled immediately upon arrival at the district
-Work with R&M manager to ensure down tools are built immediately upon arrival of required parts
-Maintenance of identification and organization systems for down tools
Ownership of the coordinator of rework components, which includes but is not limited to;
-Data entry in TAT for all rework components to and from rework vendors
-Establish and maintain relationship with rework vendors
-Establish accurate and current price lists from rework vendors
-Coordinate accurate, routine shipments to rework vendors as necessary and when required to ensure maximum efficiency
-Coordinate with rework vendors to ensure timely and economical return of rework components
-Ensure invoice pricing matches established price lists
Ownership of the review of all tool damage reports, which includes but is not limited to:
-Ensure that all damage components from the service report are included on the damage report
-Ensure accuracy of all information on the damage report(Heat numbers, part numbers, etc)
-Identify applicable damages for customer chargeback
Must be made available for being on call.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year of technical clerical office work. High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior office experience should include typing, computer, ten-key, office machines.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Excellent communication skills. Sufficient training and experience to be thoroughly familiar with the working functions and operational characteristics of company products.
May require hand and eye coordination, heavy lifting, stooping or crouching, reaching and handling of material.
The working conditions may be inside and/or outside, with extreme temperature, have a high noise level, vibration, fumes, odors and dust.
Excellent attendance habits.
Must demonstrate planning and organizational skills.
Employee should have an in-depth understanding of his/her tasks and be capable of making responsible and correct decisions.
Must be able to work independently and with others to accomplish the mission of National Oilwell Varco Downhole Tool Division
