Job Description

JOB TITLE:  Sales Manager / Head of Sales – Food / Snacks Market

LOCATION:  South East, London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Home Counties, Essex, Kent, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire

INDUSTRY:  Food / Snacks / Healthy Snacks Products

SALARY: £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience +  Commission 60K to 120K OTE, more benefits

Work for an exciting new company developing an ambitious sales growth plan for an innovative new product in the healthy snack market, challenging pre-conceived ideas in the sector while establishing relationships with a broad range of retailers and distributors. Individual will also develop strategy and sales plan for significantly growing sales of the exciting new product and provide key feedback and input to senior management with regards to product development and packaging offering.

The company is looking for an energetic, independent thinker, with an entrepreneurial streak, who can work closely with the senior management to challenge people’s pre-conceived ideas of healthy foods and deliver serious sales growth of the new product.


  • Grow the sales of the product from new product stage through to significant on-going sales per month within UK
  • Develop contacts with retailers, distributors and other points of sale for product, including schools
  • Contribute to discussions on marketing strategy, product packaging and offering, including promotions, sponsorships and other similar areas
  • Develop sales focus regarding areas, customers etc in conjunction with CEO
  • Negotiate deals with customers at all levels, aimed at growing sales quickly while delivering healthy returns for the business
  • Handling day-to-day administrative duties connected to sales role
  • Work closely with CEO and CFO of company



Ideally 6 years plus of selling in the industry – preferably in healthy snacks/crisps market - with established contacts in the FMCG sphere. Experienced in negotiating and closing deals at senior level, and proven track record of exceptional sales growth. Previous experience in working with a new product in its infancy is also preferred.
