We are looking for a Contract Embedded Software Engineer to support a new program for the existing sensor. The position will support scheduling and status updates, participate in design, and write embedded software in C in VxWorks. The position requires hands-on work with the sensor, support for Integration and Test, and troubleshooting problems. Travel to flight test may also be required.

Duties include:

Develop and maintain C/C++ code in VxWorks
Design system modifications to meet program requirements
Conform to development processes and standards
Support schedule and status updates to Program Management

Basic Qualifications:

Four year degree, software engineering or comparable
Strong C/C++ development skills
Strong test and debugging skills at multiple levels (software, firmware, hardware)
Strong and recent VxWorks development skills
Embedded software design skills
Experience with the entire Software Life Cycle
CMMI experience is a plus
Experience with Linux in an embedded environment is a plus
TCP/IP or serial communications experience is desired
VxWorks and/or Linux device driver work is a plus
