Systems Administrator - Scott AFB, IL (closed)
Put your years of experience into a future of excellence at CGI Federal! CGI is seeking a Systems Administrator to support DISA at Scott AFB, IL. The successful candidate will work as a support lead that has responsibility for local project management of many high-priority projects, day-to-day operational needs of our customers, and review, analyze, and implement server and application changes. This position also establishes proactive measures to ensure the highest level of performance and eliminate downtime through the use of scheduled utilities and local scripts.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the implementation, operation, and overall health of 100+ enterprise level Solaris servers and 30+ Cisco switches.
- Day-to-day support of applications such as Oracle Sun Ray, Cisco Transport Manager, Ciena ON-Center, Sycamore SILVX, CA eHealth, IBM Netcool, and Veritas Cluster Server.
REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Knowledge with the following OS/Applications
- UNIX
- Remedy
- Oracle Grid Control
Additional Requirements:
- ACTIVE Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret clearance
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category + five years experience of which at least three (3) years must be specialized.
Or
AA degree in degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other scientific or technical discipline directly related to the labor category + seven (7) years experience of which at least six (6) years must be specialized.
Or
Training certificate(s) from an accredited training program + seven (7) years experience of which at least six (6) years must be specialized. Approved training programs include, but are not limited to, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, DEC, Marconi, Nortel, and SUN Microsystems certificate programs.
Or
Ten (10) years experience of which at least six (9) years must be specialized.
