Currently recruiting for a consultant who will provide Database Administration and Support consulting services in support of ADABAS and DB2 databases for a client in Sacramento, CA.  Duration of contract:  18 Months

Mandatory Qualifications:

Contractor personnel providing services under this order shall be knowledgeable of, and have a minimum of (5) five years’ experience with the following:

• Batch and online ADABAS database administration.
• ADABAS system error triage and troubleshooting.
• File space recovery and extension: use of Reorder/Unload/Load utilities.
• Proactive space management.
• ADABAS v8 and Natural.
• ADABAS Utilities.
• DB2 v9 on z/OS.
• IBM JCL.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience with file and program source restoration from data center backups.
• Experience with documenting technical work in accordance with established industry standards
• Knowledge of ADABAS SAF Security and Natural Security
• Knowledge of TSO, CICS, RACF, and ESP
• Good technical communication skills
