Quality Assurance Manager (closed)
**This position can be located in N.W. IA or Eastern NE**
*Implement Enogen stewardship and quality assurance program processes and business systems.
*Assessment of Enogen grain and quality assurance system and improvement of system effectiveness to deliver on customer quality specifications, stakeholder needs and within a sustainable cost structure.
*Develops appropriate training materials and training to Syngenta and external customers on Enogen stewardship and quality assurance requirements, including standard operating procedures.
*Lead the implementation of stewardship and quality assurance process for Enogen seed supply chain and commercial grain production practices.
*Coordinate the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures to meet Stewardship and Quality Assurance requirements for Enogen products.
*Implement grain quality testing tools (both qualitative and quantitative) to ensure delivery on customer quality specifications.
*Design collection and analysis of applicable data to measure the effectiveness of the grain and quality assurance system.
*Make process recommendations as needed within a sustainable cost structure.
*Monitor adherence to stewardship and quality assurance requirements for Enogen seed supply chain and commercial grain production, handling, storage and transportation.
*Ensure that compliance is achieved and reported on a timely basis Initiate corrective preventative action process when non-conformity to stewardship requirements and quality control are reported.
*Develop appropriate training materials and deliver training to internal Syngenta teams and external customers on stewardship and quality assurance, including Standard Operating Procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: *Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Economics, Business, or Agricultural Science.
*Crop Production, Account Management, Marketing, Business Strategy
*Marketing and business systems knowledge in understanding crop production, use of electronic monitoring and quality testing technologies in grain systems and grain end-user segments. Knowledge of grain industry identity preservation systems and challenges.
*Regulatory and compliance background is a real plus.
*Knowledge of IT and or database is a plus but not required.
*Grain and seed stewardship knowledge is critical.
*Previous roles in agriculture that provided agronomic and or identity preserve experience.
*Background in process development and driving for process improvement (Six Sigma methodology) is preferred.
*Good analytical skills, experience with managing grain quality systems and testing and measurement tools.
*Statistical analysis is a plus.
*Program administration, project management, database management or related IT functions.
*Good organizational skills and the ability to manage forward.
*Works well with diverse employee base.
