Position Title: VB/SQL Developer (full-time)
Position Description: Looking for a Visual Basic or SQL developer who can support, enhance and build applications for company use for trading, order management, reporting and trade compliance. Challenging position with many opportunities to learn. Searching for the ideal candidate that can deliver a project on schedule yet not taking shortcuts. Must be able to review previous code to determine instinctively if there are better ways to implement. Duties include: Coding, testing, modifying, debugging, documenting, implementing and designing software system applications based on the business requirements, technical specifications and standards.
Also, may enjoy flexible schedule to start later one or two days per week to monitor evening processes and resolve problems.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in MS Access or Visual Basic.
Knowledgeable on use of Database Tables, Forms, Reports, Queries and Macros under MS Access or similar.
Wintel development experience with VB, ADO, MS-SQL Server, Excel Macros preferred.
Must have experience in full software development life cycle (SDLC) - from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
Good understanding of database, operating systems, compilers, networks and computer architecture is a definite plus.
