Applications Engineer (level II & IV) (closed)
Rapidly growing manufacturer of equipment to the energy and process industries is looking to add to their applications engineering team!
The bulk of the role is customer interaction, whether going to a customer’s locations for site support or to gain specific details needed for a proposal or internally analyzing customer specifications to specify and design the equipment best suited for the client’s application. This role involves compiling formal proposals and cost estimates, performing risk assessments and setting pricing. Client follow-up would involve creating and giving sales presentations, conducting negotiations and maintaining post-proposal status updates.
The best candidates for these positions will have a Bachelor’s in Engineering (BS degree) in mechanical (BSME), chemical (BSChE or BSCE) or a related field as well as great communication and a desire to help provide customers with a top quality product. Two positions in the applications department are available; one is a senior level with ideally 8+ years of experience in sales to the power, energy or refining industry. The other position would require at least two years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment with a drive and desire for sales and customer service. Experience in a steel fabrication and/or welding environment or with products requiring structural engineering is preferred. Candidates must be able to interpret drawing, engineering and specification drawings and finite analysis software knowledge is also helpful.
