Job Description

PURPOSE OF JOB

 

Working closely with the Head of Digital Production to implement strategic objectives you will be expected to deliver, monitor and continually improve production output, managing a team of campaign producers and designers in their day-to-day planning, design and publishing of campaigns across all of my client’s digital services.

Internal: Digital team, National and Regional S&P (Sponsorship & Promotion), Co-Pro (Commercial Promotions), Programming, Marketing, MediaLab and PR

 

External: Commercial clients, agencies, third party partners / suppliers relating to Digital Production

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead a team of Campaign Producers and Designers to ensure optimum efficiency and productivity across all digital campaigns
  • Collaborate with Digital Content Producers and other members of the Digital Team to estimate production times and ensure campaigns are delivered on time and to brief
  • Improve standards, reliability and reputation across the production team and its stakeholders by building strong relationships
  • Review briefs prior to production commencing, working closely with Commercial Teams across the Group to consult and provide digital best-practice advice and guidance
  • Create robust campaign plans working with Campaign Producers with realistic timelines to meet client budgets
  • Conceptualise and originate digital campaigns using the full range of tools and audience touch points at your disposal
  • Deal with campaign stakeholders when difficulties arise, to proactively solve issues, record and report mistakes with a view to improving production output and efficiency
  • Attend meetings with internal stakeholders, prospects and clients when required to provide information and reassurance as to our ability to deliver successful campaigns
  • Ensure Stakeholders are informed of digital fulfilment options - including the full range of digital services across all forms of digital media
  • Work with Commercial Teams to establish clear campaign goals and KPI's, based on client defined objectives and the strategic needs of the business
  • Ensure all campaign stakeholders understand and adopt the production process
  • Lead daily (Scrum) and weekly (Sprint) team update and planning meetings to ensure continual collaboration and transparency
  • Ensure Campaign quality and consistency across the group
  • Annual personal (PEP) and mid-term career reviews for your team
  • Work with relevant teams (Content, Marketing and Commercial) to plan and deliver accurate campaign content for weekly Newsletters and Solus Emails

Additional responsibilities

  • Focus on data and how we can leverage ARM (Audience Relationship Management) for client and campaign advantage
  • Ensure that the production process and campaign delivery supports & aids advertiser revenues
  • Manage freelancers and suppliers where needed to deliver productivity objectives
  • Provide campaign and production performance & resource reports when requested by Digital Managers
  • Record successful campaigns (Case Studies) working closely with Campaign Producers

 

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Delivery of campaigns on time and to brief
  • Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring campaigns are delivered within budget
  • Understand the value, emphasis and cost of on-air Vs online sales
  • Interpret briefs to provide commercially viable ideas that are achievable within time and budget

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

 

Hands-on experience of managing a digital production team (project planners, designers and /or content producers) in a previous role, ideally producing commercial work for multi-platform (Web / Mobile and Social) for a minimum of two years for an agency, media or entertainment business. Best suited to an individual with digital, creative, advertising or media agency experience, preferably in the field of radio and online who is able to build on an existing production process to evolve and improve with fresh and risk-free thinking.

 

KNOWLEDGE

 

  • Website and mobile platforms
  • Digital Media and file formats (image, video and audio)
  • Social platforms (specifically Facebook, Twitter and YouTube)
  • Analytical services (specifically Google)
  • SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) specifically keyword research and copywriting for search would be an advantage
  • Digital web-development knowledge or technical project planning would be an advantage

 

SPECIFIC SKILLS

 

  • Ability to work with a wide range of people who perform a variety of roles
  • Excellent commercial-focussed production, timekeeping and communication skills
  • CMS (Content Management Systems) – ideally multi-platform
  • Ability to lead and mentor experienced design talent to produce high-quality creative
  • Strong analytical (digital stats) and monitoring skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, product-focused, highly-collaborative environment involving both technical and non-technical individuals
