Test Lead – Milton Keynes - £37,000

Based in Central Milton Keynes a position has arisen within a well known organisation for a Test Lead to join an established team. Working with a technical test team of 2 Senior Subject Matter experts and 2 Junior Testers, the successful candidate will take the lead and own the requirements gathering elements along with the business relationships. The idea being that you will improve the quality of new and changed IT services so that they are fit for purpose, championing testing and quality processes. There is a desire to mature the breadth of testing to include more performance and automation testing over the next 2 years.

Responsibilities:

Testing strategies for unit & integration, system and regression, performance & load testing and support of UAT
Review and Approve Test Plans
Manage operational activities of the Testing Team e.g. resource scheduling, setting operational targets, measuring and assessing performance
Liaise with external vendors
Document testing guidelines, process and procedures.

Principle Skills:

ISTQB / ISEB accreditation
Minimum of 3 years software testing experience including the testing of bug fixes, service packs and incremental releases of software.
Waterfall / V-Model
Strong leadership. 

Desirable Skills:

Agile methodology
Test automation (Quality Center, QTP)
PRINCE2 accreditation
