You're likely to hold an engineering degree level qualification together with experience is the design, manufacture, assembly, and/or commissioning of complex motion centric automated equipment. This "hands-on" role represents a significant and exciting challenge joining a highly successful team of dedicated motion professionals

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all engineering and customer support functions within the business
  
  
• Manage, lead, develop and co-ordinate multi-disciplined engineering team
  
  
• Pre-sales concept engineering and development of solution proposals
  
  
• Provide first class engineering support to sales team, engineering team and customers
  
  
• Develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike
  
  
• Active participation in strategic development of company
  
  
  Skills
  
  Your skill set is likely to include a majority of the following:
  
  
• Sound mechatronics knowledge possibly with mechanical engineering bias
  
  
• Appreciation of programmable motion modules including PLCs, motion controllers and drives
  
  
• Good working knowledge of Solidworks 2012
  
  
• Well-developed understanding of mechatronic component selection from a motion perspective including bearings, ball-screws, gear systems, servo/stepper motors, drives and controllers
  
  
• FEA - Mechanical/Thermal
