Job Description
Summary

           

            An opportunity has arisen to join an exciting company involved in the design and build of defence systems.   The successful candidate will be responsible for the procurement of machined parts, electrical components, tooling and workshop consumables within budget, timescales and quality requirements, and also to improve the supply chain performance.   This is a role that requires both technical skills and strategic vision, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary and generous benefits package.

 

The Role

 

  • To understand the project material requirement and procure accordingly within budget
  • To keep up to date electronics records, including the MRP system
  • Ensure all documentation related to work is kept accurate and up to date in accordance with BS EN 9001:2008 and AS9100
  • Develop and maintain a suitable number of qualified and commercially allied suppliers for use in various product areas

 

 

Experience/Skills

 

  • Full knowledge of materials planning systems requirements and order generation process logic
  • Experienced in a supply chain management position within a fast moving, engineered to order, manufacturing business
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management operational concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
