Environment Advisor
One of our clients on the operator side is looking for a FPSO Electrical Responsible Engineer
Job Purpose
To identify, plan and carry out health, environmental and social impact assessments, and other relevant studies and surveys appropriate to the project.
Main Responsibility
Timely preparation of environmental (health and social) impact assessments (EHSIA), environmental studies and surveys, in accordance with Company, Coprorate and Regulatory requirements. Follow up on hearings and comments and report on status of relevant authority environmental approvals.
Main Tasks
Identify the need for and boundaries of environmental, health and social impact assessment(s), either as update to existing or new. Plan and carry out the the neccesary assessment studies and prepare the environmental impact assement report.
Identify the need for environmental studies and surveys, including Environmental Hazard Identification activities and establishing the Project Environmental Aspects (environmental Risk Register)
Support engineering fuctions in review and verification on best avalaible environmental technology.
Prepare environmental (health and social impact) data and regularly report to Company.
Job Challenges
Timely meeting regulatory, Corporate and Company timelines and contents requirements.
Required Competence
Minimum 5 year experience in the oil and gas business related to environmmental issues. Experience from carrying out and implementing environmental studies, working with environmental and social legislations. Experience with gas transport (pipelines and tankers) and hydrocarbon processing.
Knowledge of Norwegian HSE regulation for petroleum activites and those legislations related to process plants and gas transport (onshore), and detailed knowledge of environmental regulations. Basic understanding and knowledge of the design and functioning of gas processing equipment and gas transport systems.
Able to communicate verbally and in writing, preparing concise and structured reports. The incumbent needs to be able to establish and maintain a good relationship with a proactive approach, identifying what needs to be done.
The incumbent should be innovative and flexible with an attitude towards problem solving.
MSc or BSC in environmental studies.
Fluent Norwegian and English
