CSC is seeking a senior Web/SharePoint developer to support a major US Government agency involved in promoting cyber security. Duties include development and maintenance of the customer's internal portal and public-facing websites.
Candidates must possess an active TS clearance, a Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information assurance/security, engineering, software engineering, or business/management plus 6 or more years of information technology and Web/SharePoint development experience.
Essential Job Functions
Supports the architecture by designing, planning, evolution, development of the SharePoint MOSS; and programming in software engineering and computer security. Demonstrates experience in using strong analytical skills to understand specific customer domains and drive technical solutions; developing relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL Server, Informix); experience in developing with non-relational databases (e.g., Casandra, Hadoop, Couch, NoSQL, Project Voldemort, Mongo, Drizzle); experience in using the Agile/Scrum approach to software development; experience and skills using C#, C++, C, Java, PERL, and/or Python_
• Provide content management services for the public website and customer internal portals
• Website maintenance, including:
• Maintain, administer and ensure the operation of the websites
• Improve existing content and create new content
• Update and format content
• Enhance user experience through the use of graphics and media elements
• Improve the visibility of customer products in search results
• Solicit user feedback
• Ensure quality and credibility of websites by performing editorial reviews of web content and ensure adherence to Section 508 access ability requirements
• Conduct user analysis by evaluating results produced by third-party tracking tools and web logs
• Help launch and manage social media presences
• Support brand loyalty and encourage generation of user created content via active community participation and conversation; manage online discussions
• Research to identify social media best practices and trends for communications and content audits
• Proactively monitor social networking traffic for relevant themes/news stories and provide suggestions for timely content, messages, and conversations to enhance customer reputation and value to cyber security communities
