Job Description

Key responsibilities 

  • Manage client relationships on an active basis.  Be the main point of contact for clients for all their Investment Advisory needs.
  • Keep on top of client positions/accounts to help effectively manage their investment portfolios
  • Be able to follow multiple asset markets in real time. Be able to react to market developments as related to client accounts.

Main Tasks

  • Work closely with Private Bankers to win and grow business from their respective client bases
  • Work closely with the Investment Strategy / Product Strategy teams to think through and produce sound investments ideas
  • Keep up-to-date with various markets/research
  • Understand the house view and effectively communicate the same to clients
  • Interact with clients on a daily basis, discussing markets and trade/product ideas
  • Review client portfolios regularly with bankers / clients

Key Performance Indicators

  • Revenue target of USD x.xx M – use knowledge of markets and an understanding of the clients requirements to suggest / monitor trade ideas
  • Assist with / Lead the ideation (creation of trade ideas / strategies) within the Active Advisory team with regards specific asset classes
  • Manage client portfolios in a manner where risks are understood, well flagged and discussed with all concerned (Client / Banker / Head of Active Advisory)
  • Ensure that Client Risk Profiling / Product Risk Rating guidelines are adhered to

 

Experience profile

  • 10 – 15 yrs + in a Private Bank / Investment Bank
  • Sound knowledge of overall markets and macro events
  • Core, in-depth knowledge within either the Fixed Income or Equity space – ability to recommend trade ideas, maintain tactical buy lists
  • Evidence of good client relationship skills
