Location: St-Laurent

Length: 6 months+

Role Overview:
Our Clients IT team is looking for a systems administration, support, and project delivery professional for a large IT managed services operation. This position would require someone who enjoys a dynamic, challenging environment where IT is core to the delivery of the customer experience and understanding the value of Change Management processes, systems build and process documentation maintenance with an emphasis on team knowledge transfer

• Create / update / participate in build process and operations documentations
• Participate in 24/7 Operations Support on-call rotation
• Ensure systems health and best practices implemented
• Work with vendor / tickets to resolve issues requiring vendor participation
Adhere to Change management processes (plans for implementation approvals)
• Participate in project planning and implementation (design / implement /support)
• Enjoy a dynamic, challenging environment where IT is core to the delivery of the customer experience


Requirements:

• SUN Solaris architecture: installation, clustering, administration, integration and support skillset
• Familiar and capable in the area of IT infrastructure (Data Center HW, cabling, SAN, Networking)
• Familiar and knowledgeable with systems management, ticketing, monitoring and reporting tools
• Ability to work well under time constraints to meet project deliverable due dates
• Ability to perform critical systems troubleshooting and support
• Participate in on-call rotation for off-hours support of Data Center and systems
• Understand the value of Change Management processes, systems build and process documentation maintenance, and team knowledge transfer

Preferences:

• Virtual infrastructure installation, management, administration experience
• Experience with OS patching and Firmware / Driver update ongoing procedures
• Tools building and development language skills
• Experience with HPUX and PA-RISC systems
• SAN/Storage/Backup experience
• Experience and general knowledge with networking, routing, TCP/IP, protocols
• IT Cross Area knowledge and experience (UNIX / Win / Networking / VM / SAN / Data Center)
