Description:

This position requires at least (5) years of metallurgical and software integration experience in the metal industry, knowledge of metallurgy with a complete understanding of stainless steel techniques used in the melting, refining, and casting of molten stainless steel. This position requires the Process Engineer to have an understanding of software development and integration.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: (Other duties maybe assigned)

1.  Must of knowledge of all Phases of Metal Processing – Melting – Refining – Casting – Grinding
2. Must be capable of utilizing mathematical models of metal processing for development of process optimization (Cost, Productivity) and for Process Control
3. Must have the ability to analyze and simplify complex problems and lead development and implementation of cost effective solutions
4. Must have deeper knowledge in production melt scheduling/rescheduling and optimizing based on the production planning

Qualifications and experience required for this position:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Metallurgy with (5+) years experience within the Metal Industry
2. Coordinate operational information and data for the MTM Department
3. Siemens Level II Systems
4. Metallurgical Process Models
5. Assures Data going from Level II to Level III is correct
6. Maintains systems, trouble shoot software/hardware in melt shop
7. Teach key users, create database for all areas of melt shop
8. Must be willing to work overtime, evenings, or weekends when required.
9. Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to relay technical information clearly and precisely

10.  Teamwork and leadership skills
