Our Client’s mine is a Fly-in, Fly – out operation located in Northern Ontario. They are currently looking for a:

Sr. Mine Engineer - Team Lead

We are looking for an energetic Sr Engineer/ Team Lead to guide and mentor an exceptional team of professionals. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, the successful candidate will have a high focus on safety and environmental protection in all aspects of the job.

Responsibilities include:
Supervise & mentor engineering staff responsible for short and long term mine planning, geotechnical, ventilation, scheduling and survey control.
Work in cooperation with mine operations in realizing short and long term schedules.
Develop long term infrastructure design including material handling, ventilation and dewatering.
Oversee the design, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the ventilation system.
Adopt new and innovative products, techniques and procedures to increase the value of the operation.
Promote and maintain a high-performance culture and develop team for current and future needs of the mine.
Develop a greater awareness of safety issues towards our triple zero safety goal.
Participate in the conversion of mineral resources to mineral reserves.
Assume responsibilities of the Chief Engineer as required.

The ideal Candidate will pocess the following education, experience and competencies:
Degree in Mine Engineering with either a P Eng status or ability to get P Eng status.
6-10 years of experience in an Undergroundmine with 1 to 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Excellent communication skills. ( Written, Oral, listening and Presentation)
Ability to positively interact with Mine operations, Geology/Exploration, Maintenance and Administration teams.
Experience with Vulcan and EPS (Enhanced Produstion Scheduler) considered an asset.

The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on site followed by 14 days off site. The shifts are 12 hours and this is a camp environment.
