Position: SAP PLM BASIS Architect
Duration: 6 months
PLM Architect will be responsible for:
Reviewing current Blueprint/Architecture to identify difficulties/roadblocks and work with Basis Team (Architects) and Security team to resolve any issues
Provide knowledge transfer and potentially assist in getting new perm person trained/up to speed before contract is up
The PLM Technical Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining the overall technical and Netweaver architecture SAP PLM systems consistent with policies. Responsible for providing technical strategy and management of all technical activities including but not limited to: Application architecture, System Change Management, Performance Monitoring, Performance Tuning, Transport Management, Data Management, Data Archiving , System Monitoring, Troubleshooting, Problem Analysis and Problem Resolution. Able to work in a fast-paced 24x7 environment.
Manage and plan the work in the technical areas of the SAP PLM, upgrades and existing and new projects/implementations. Ensure the SAP technical/Netweaver architecture meets business platform requirements. Track SAP infrastructure and technical developments and report status to functional teams. Execute incoming technical architecture requests from functional teams. Manage work through internal shared service organizations (Enterprise Data Center) and external 3rd parties. Define and develop the strategy for system upgrades and client strategies for ongoing projects.
Develop Proactive monitoring strategy for SAP PLM systems environments for optimum performance and be proactive in identifying potential problems in N+1 landscape. Plan, monitor and track Basis team activities to perform core Basis functions (e.g., corrections, support packs, kernels, transports).Assist with reviewing custom code, analyzing the impact of the proposed technical solutions. Assist in creating and modifying strategies, resolve problems and document issues and resolutions.
