Title: VB.NET developer
Duration: 6 months with renewal
Location: Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities:

Job Description:  The ideal candidate will be an experienced VB.NET developer with a minimum of 5 years experience using Microsoft development tools and practices. We are seeking IT professionals with an excellent grasp of the .NET Framework (2.0 and higher) and VB to work in a team enhancing a suite of multi-tier applications to provide operational dashboards. Additional skills required include strong communication skills and client facing experience.

Skills Required:

Good understanding of user interface design principles
Thorough understanding of the .NET framework (2.0 and higher)
5+ years experience with the following: n-tier architecture development, windows desktop development experience.
5+ years (technically proficient) in VB language
Experience as a lead or senior developer on a production project
Experience mentoring others on these technologies
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem solving skills
Ability to provide high quality code for mission critical application
High level of initiative and attention to detail
Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus
Ability to accurately estimate and plan implementation of a complex design

Skills Preferred:

Some experience with ASP.NET and C#.NET
Writing SQL statements and stored procedures against a high transactional database.
