Job Description

A busy wire harness and electronics company has an immediate opening for an experienced Quality Technician for their Rochester Hills location.  The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded background in quality in the electronics field, an excellent attendance record, and a great attitude!  This is a long term position with strong potential to go permanent.

 

Qualifications:

*Previous QA/QC experience

*Electronics background strongly preferred

*Ability to read and interpret schematics

*Knowledge of TS and ISO requirements

*Must have excellent PC skills

*Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

 

Responsibilities:

*Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company's QA policies and customer specifications.

*Conduct inspections at first article, in-process, incoming, and completes the final inspections.

*Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Material Rejection Notices) as required

*Input and perform tensile test inspection process.

*Document and report inspection findings and results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.

*Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per inspection plans and specification requirements.

*Perform first article inspections to support the component qualification process.

*Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.

*Perform product identification and traceability activities as required.

*Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; logs the assembly non-conformities and generates a report (NCR).

*Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Ensure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.

*Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations

*File incoming component device history records

*Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

Shift and Pay:

*1st shift: 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday – Thursday, Friday 7:00am – 11:00am

*Must be willing to work overtime on Friday as needed

*$15-17.00 per hour DOE
