Information Security Engineer

In the role of Information Security Engineer, you use your Cisco security skills to build and support internal and external perimeter security devices as well as work on other infrastructure projects.  You will be rewarded with generous compensation and benefits and the opportunity to work with a progressive team.

 You will participate in projects such as:

Maintain and administer perimeter security standards, documentation, processes and procedures

Lead or assist security and non-security related IT projects

Write deliverables and complete project documentation

Communicates with management to ensure awareness of security or related problems that are severe in nature or that exceed documented targets

Establish and maintain security policies and procedures

Execute complex network projects that may include justifying, designing, procurement of equipment, implementing systems, configuring hardware and software for networks and coordinating both technical and non-technical staff members and vendors

Mentor and train co-workers on security standards and procedures

To be successful, you will have experience:
Troubleshooting IDS, IPS, firewalls, VPN and Internet Proxy systems

Documenting all project phases including pre-project planning, ongoing status reports, and project deliverables

Determining client’s needs, establishing rapport, and negotiate requirements

Setting and managing client expectations

Supporting security technologies in an information security role, typically gained over five to seven years

Site to site VPN tunnels

Monitoring tools (Solar Winds Orion and Microsoft SCOM)

Developing and Managing Security and networking architecture

Creating and maintaining documentation standards and diagramming

Mobility management systems

Vulnerability and patch management

 You will also possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

 Preferred (Any):  CCSP, CISSP, CISA, CCIE, CCNP, CCDP
