Scope of Work:

Work in a fast paced, stressful environment. This contractor position will interface with telecommunication engineers, database administrators, transport and SS7 engineers, and the customer. The candidate will need to be very detailed, organized, and have superior time management skills. A background in telecommunications is necessary for this position. This position is a 6+ month on-going role.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Interface with all members of the technical staff for production control responsibilities • Hold meetings with internal staff as well as customers • Create and enter all activities into database for nightly activities • Review, validate all MOPs for accuracy and process adherence • Drive all facets of the production control group under the guidance of the team leader • Write mini RCA’s for failed activities for management • Participate in quality support initiatives • Write/Maintain process documentation • Send maintenance notifications to customers • Create change reports when needed • Interface with Third Party vendors to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled

Required Experience:

• 3 – 5 years telecommunications experience with specific background in Pre Paid, MMS, SMS, IP, SS7 Transport, Service Layer, and Content platforms. • 2 + years in a NOC, provisioning, change management, or operations environment • Experience working in a fast-paced, high-stress environment • Fundamentals of telecom transmission, IP and data network

Technical Requirements:

• Knowledge of UNIX based platforms a plus • Microsoft suite of tools • Transport systems and SS7 a plus • Knowledge of Databases, PHP/HTML a plus • MySQL knowledge a plus Education • Associates degree or equivalent experience is preferred
