Team Leader, Fund Accounting

Premier NYC Investment Management Leader seeks an experienced individual to join their Fixed Income Fund Accounting division. In this position, you will be expected to assume a leadership role and will be responsible for training and on-going professional development of your team. You should be able to demonstrate a broad perspective in understanding how each task relates back to clients, traders and portfolio managers. 

Specific Responsibilities: 
Daily transaction review of account activity from internal accounting system 
Review account activity including fees, miscellaneous entries and security transfers. 
Ensure the integrity of all portfolio accounting data 
Assume a leadership or oversight role for the team 
Review daily reconciliations, asset reconciliations, and trial balances and ensure exceptions and share differences are researched and resolved 
Train staff and uphold departmental procedures/policies and operating guidelines 
Assignment and coordination of account coverage 

Job Requirements: 
Bachelors Degree is required 
Proficient in MS Excel, with an ability to learn new systems 
3-5 years of relevant experience working with fixed income products 
Must have PROVEN team leadership experience 
Highly organized and detail-oriented 
Ability to multi-task and prioritize 
Strong written and communication skills
