Help Care-One be a leader in the Health Services industry by acting as the Director of Rehabilitation Services. You will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for patients ranging in age from middle age to geriatrics including Physical Therapy- Occupational Therapy- Speech Pathology and where applicable- Wound Prevention. Coordinate and direct patient care to optimize patient safety and reduce the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Will ensure patients' needs are met and hospital policy is followed.

Responsibilities:
?Ä¢ Able to make an appropriate assessment on all patients regarding therapy requested; observe and evaluate treatments effectively; recommend change to physician if needed
?Ä¢ Demonstrate knowledge of all rehabilitation services modalities; formulate a teaching plan based on the learning needs of the patient- involving the family as appropriate- and evaluate the effectiveness of the learning
?Ä¢ Able to assess patient pain which interferes with participation in rehabilitation and contact physician for appropriate intervention
?Ä¢ Oversee scheduling of treatments and maintain productivity standards
?Ä¢ Comply with departmental inspections of equipment and physical space; make recommendations on equipment use and needs
?Ä¢ Maintain records on department personnel and operation for administrative and regulatory purposes; prepare reports on rehab services (i.e. utilization- performance improvement- service data- outcome- productivity- including long-term capital budget and short-term operational budget; documentation meets current standards and policies.
?Ä¢ Direct interviewing- hiring- evaluation- termination and department staffing/ scheduling
?Ä¢ Keep informed of current educational and management information- new trends- procedures and programs through local- county- state and national meetings- workshops and seminars
Qualifications
?Ä¢ Must have current State Licensure or certification as RPT and/or Speech Pathologist or OTR Certified by NBCOT as well as three+ years of management experience in rehabilitative medicine. Be knowledgeable about physical medicine- physical/occupational/speech therapy modalities- anatomy and physiology as well as disease processes and related causes. Knowing the benefits of rehabilitative medicine/medicine agents as well as infection control- sterile technique and related impact on rehabilitative medicine practice and equipment is vital.
