Notes: The Health IT Physician Adoption Liaison provides direct support to the Vice President of Medical Informatics (VPMI) in the coordination and execution of system-wide efforts to appropriately engage Sutter Health physicians and clinicians in the Health IT initiatives, especially the Electronic Health Record (EHR) initiative. This position works directly with the VPMI, SH Physician Directors for Ambulatory and Hospital EHR, Regional CMIOs, Regional CMOs, affiliate Physician Champions, and other physician leaders to establish regional/affiliate physician Health IT governance, facilitate physician engagement activities, identify and mitigate clinical operations workflow gaps, and help oversee physician related HIT pre-work/go-live/stabilization activities.  This position serves as the system “Physician Adoption Expert” by providing education, expertise and experience in the physician adoption process; creating and disseminating supporting tools; and assisting the VPMI with adoption and engagement activities with system and affiliate level leadership and other key EHR stakeholders with a goal of clinicians collectively achieving meaningful use of HIT tools for the benefit of our patients. In support of the VPMI, the HIT Physician Adoption Liaison collaborates closely with communications leaders on the implementation of clinician-specific communication strategies. This position will ensure that workgroups, operations teams, etc. follow physician adoption principles and methodologies based upon the direction set by the VPMI. This position will advise the VPMI in setting priorities and roles for engagement related meetings including determining appropriate levels of his/her involvement in those meetings.

The Discovery resource for this position will do the upfront analysis, discovery, impact analysis, level of estimation and project scoping for the Integration Implementation team for each new project request.    Knowledge of health care operations and structure, department-specific policies and procedures and workflows, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of information system applications in the practicing health care environment. This Discovery Analyst will be responsible for determining the impact to the following Data and Online Services Information Management groups: Data Quality, Data Delivery, Data Warehouse, and Enterprise Master Person Index (EMPI). Analyst should have Technical Data and Analysis and Technical DBA experience. Data Analysis, knowledge of Data Extract and Reporting required to build standard data reports along required to implement the technical components and integration required to adopt this functionality.
