Senior Java Developer needed for a profitable division of a fast-growing billion dollar global healthcare software/services corporation having a development facility in the RTP Area of North Carolina.  This is a PERMANENT FULL-TIME position on a team performing NEW DEVELOPMENT on a large pipeline of Java/Oracle based software products.  The successful candidate must be a team player, self-motivated, can work autonomously, and be able to make an immediate contribution to end to end application development of this profitable high value Web application suite.  Write robust, efficient and maintainable code and mentor junior programmers to do the same.  Analyze requirements and provide reliable estimates. Work closely with the architect to coordinate and lead software design activities.  Work within a structured development environment that includes version control, automated unit testing, test driven development, continuous build, feature analysis and design reviews, code reviews, and use of a task management system to track status.  Ensure that development processes and standards are being followed and met.  This is an open, collaborative, agile development environment.  Candidates must have a passion for customer satisfaction and a strong desire to learn and remain current on a wide range of development technologies .

Required Skills/Attributes:

• Java 7+ years of experience.
• SQL and a strong knowledge of Oracle  
• Linux or UNIX
• Commercial Software Development Experience (developing software that is sold to external customers)  
• Agile
