JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE/Name: Senior Cost Controller – Technip USA
DEPARTMENT: Cost Control (Department 1128)
REPORTS TO: ECP Regional Cost Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Overall leadership responsibilities for the issuance of timely, accurate, and reliable project forecasts. These processes will be in compliance with Technip rules and methods, allowing effective project execution and decision-making.
Support the Project Management Team in the execution of the contract and achievement of the Project’s budgetary and delivery objectives by maintaining an adequate level of internal control within the project, encompassing budget and commitments control, forecast preparation, sensitivity analysis and feedback to the Estimating group.
Responsibilities of this leadership role will include the promoting of career growth opportunities for the discipline through mentoring and coaching.
WORK PERFORMED
Collecting information from the accounting system (revenue, cost and man-hours) for input and manipulation on interim cost & revenue analysis, including forecast results and budgets.
Client reports preparation when applicable.
Billing verification of compliance with the contracts.
Billing backup assembly and preparation for submission in compliance with the contracts.
Preparation of the PMR for review with PM and Corporate Management during the monthly Project Reviews (and attendance of the same)
Monitoring and reporting of any significant movement expected in the forecast.
Preparation of the feedback forms and dossier during the life of the project and at completion.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Process knowledge and expertise of industry and best practices.
Education: B.S. Engineering, Finance or Business Degrees
Licenses: N/A
Skills:
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Methodical and organized.
• Open-minded and operation-driven.
• Computer knowledge (Oracle, Word, XL, Access).
Previous Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost control or any related discipline.
• Technical/project exposure as an engineer is a plus.
• At least 7 years in the oil & gas industry
