Package: Negotiable basic salary around GBP43,000 plus car, pension scheme, private health, bonus, daily allowance
Territory: South Wales to Thames Valley (M4 Corridor - Oxford is the furthest point East)
Our client is recruiting for a Hospital Specialist who will be responsible for managing accounts on the territory. Key customers will be Consultant Ophthalmologists and other related professionals tromoting their range of products for either external eye conditions or glaucoma. Key responsibilities will be:-
To promote appropriate products to all existing and potential customers
To provide feedback on competitor activities in the field via line management
To organise and co-ordinate local meetings on territory, also ensuring adequate catering facilities, company literature, samples and relevant audio visual aids are available where necessary
At all times to maintain and uphold an excellent company image, by way of personal presentation in both attitude, dress and condition of company car
To achieve previously set sales and market share targets
To achieve previously set coverage and frequency targets
To demonstrate leadership standards
Execute all administrative duties accurately and to meet set deadlines in order to guarantee efficient operation of the territory
To develop and work to a territory business plan, in conjunction with territory colleagues, as appropriate
To constantly upgrade standard of knowledge and understanding of the specialties in which they operate
Ability to understand and interpret often complex technical data
Act professionally at all times
Manage the territory efficiently and effectively
Work collaboratively with all Alcon colleagues to the benefit of the business
Work within defined budget
Work within the ABPI Code of Practice
Personal Attributes
Candidates must have previous pharmaceutial sales experience within a hospital environment with a proven track record of success. Ideally, candidates will also have knowledge of ophthalmics.
You will also have excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. You will be commercially aware and be able to demonstrate customer focus, drive and initiative.
Qualifications Required
Ideally you will be degree qualified or equivalent, preferrably in a life science subject, marketing or business administration and be ABPI qualified
