Title: Data Modeler

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 8-12 months

Rate: $55/hr on c2c

Start date is Monday April 30

Job Summary

Design large reporting databases - both relational and dimensional - for applications and end users utilizing analytical, database design, reporting, SQL, and other skills. Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Solid job experience with Data Modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, ERwin, other
• Experience with large implementations of both relational and  dimensional reporting systems
• Experience with building OLAP cubes and reporting tools (Hyperion 9  a big plus)
• SQL skills for data validation, analysis, and troubleshooting
• Solid working knowledge of cable billing system data with particular  emphasis on CSG, Amdocs(formerly DST), and/or ICOMS
• Experience with provisioning systems helpful
• Ability to communicate results of analysis and changes to customers
• Participate in group meetings to present and defend design decisions
• Comply with all established procedures and policies of client
• Other functions that may be assigned

The ideal candidate will possess some of the following:

• BS or Masters in Computer Science or Business Administration or  equivalent work
• Teradata experience a big plus
• Extensive Oracle SQL (Oracle database 10 or 11 preferred)
• Multiple database design tools such as PowerDesigner, ERwin, etc.
• Knowledge of billing, provisioning systems, and telephony business preferred.
