Autonomy Support Engineer # 9791

Contract position with a large US based international company located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, primarily providing aviation and information technology systems and services to governmental agencies and aircraft.

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Manager of Web Administration Services, the successful candidate will be a technical resource on search related projects in order to meet prioritized business needs. The position will provide technical expertise in delivering new architected search solutions as well as supporting existing solutions. Candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, supporting, and documenting the functionality of Autonomy Search solutions.

Position responsibilities:
Technical understanding of Autonomy Search, Microsoft Windows Servers, network,
relational databases, and web technologies.
Analyze, diagnose, and resolve search configuration issues in a complex application environment.
Coordinate development efforts with the development teams.
Communicate effectively with management, customers, and technical teams.

Experience Required:
4+ years of experience with Autonomy IDOL, Distribution Services, and Fetch Connectors.
4+ years of Web related information technology experience.
4+ years of experience troubleshooting web based application issues.

Skills Required:
4+ years of experience with enterprise search and search engine optimization.
2+ years of experience working with CLI.
Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Skills Preferred:
Web Content management and search engine optimization.
Knowledge of web servers such as IIS, Weblogic, and Tomcat.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Lua, VBScript, and/or Java Script.

Education Preferred:
Bachelor's degree and 4years of related experience.
