Ruby On Rails Developer

SSIT requires Ruby on rails developers to fulfill development activities for our client. The role entails the full software development life cycle of requirements gathering, analysis and low level design. The candidates should coordinate with the client for the on-going process like technical discussions, status calls.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Rich hands-on programming experience in Java and a deep understanding of object oriented design
• Ability to use graphical modeling techniques such as UML for design and interaction models of the system
• Good working experience on Ruby on Rails
• Ideally should have worked with Spring and Hibernate frameworks. Experience with Grails, Groovy is a plus
• Should be experienced in working with Tomcat, Jetty or other servlet containers
• Ability to learn light weight component based frameworks for development of enterprise applications delivered over the web
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL. Good working knowledge of RDBMS software’s such as Oracle, SQL Server and MySQL for developing web applications
• Hands on in user interface design and development of dynamic web sites incorporating Web 2.0 concepts using the likes of Javascript, CSS, XSLT, XPATH and frameworks such as JQuery

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Ruby on rails
