SSD Test Development Firmware Engineer

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities will be to lead a small team that will architect, design and support Manufacturing Test Firmware for upcoming newer SSD product lines.
Participate in product staging and technology firmware development and support.
Algorithm design/development (Optimization, DefectMapping, etc) working with HW vendors and with internal design teams.


Qualifications

The qualified candidate will possess the following:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering, and/or related field;
Experience in, and detailed understanding of, manufacturing test design, SSD experience a big advantage.
Experience in real-time embedded systems firmware development
Experience in storage device firmware development
A working knowledge of SoC & ARM environments
Sound SW Engineering concept/methodology (process).
C/C++ and Assembly programming skills
An in-depth working knowledge of firmware development and debugging tools.
Ability to work independently as a self starter as well as with a team.
Good oral and written skill (presentation and documentation).
Ability to multi-task effectively and is easily adaptable/flexible within a fast-paced environment.
Must be open to domestic travel for technical consultation/presentation/support.
PCIe interface firmware development background a plus.
