Seeking awesome QA team member to help test one of the company's more important applications that help the company meed Federal Reserve and other regulatory requirements. Be part of a newly formed team. You'll end up needing to test the application from a user's perspective and will also need to take a deeper dive in to the  database (SQL Server) - so basic SQL knowledge is required. At a minimum, this position is funded through the end of 2012 with potential to go longer.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Create, validate test cases and review test case coverage
• Design, develop, and execute data driven, reusable and maintainable test cases
• Development of functional and regression test cases
• Log and track defects in Defect Tracking Tool
• Develop, document software test plans and test cases as required
• Execution of tests and verification of results
• Interaction with development staff to resolve issues

Desired Qualifications:
• 4- 5 years of software testing experience with good database testing skills
• Preferred but not required, 2+ years of automated software testing experience
• Preferred experience in financial web applications
• Good knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Software Development methodologies
• Working experience in Agile projects
• Basic programming skills in VB, C# and SQL
• Good understanding of web application functional testing and standards
• Understanding of .net technologies, AJAX and relational databases preferably Microsoft SQL Server
• Working experience with Quality Center
• Ability to work independently or within the team
