Job Description:
In Application Production Support role the candidate responsibilities will be:
- Build new application environments with responsibilities for application and middleware installs plan and manage releases to the customer successfully in a dynamic environment with aggressive timelines
- Consider all technical and non-technical aspect of a release by taking a holistic view of implementing changes to IT services
- Plan the successful roll-out of software
- Design and implement efficient procedures/task plans for the distribution and installation of changes to SIT, UAT and production environments
- Implement, communicate, co-ordinate & manage the production, SIT /UAT deploys for Ashburn, Torrence & Reston with IT-PS, VSO-PS, Development, DBA and UAT teams
- Ensure implementations are traceable, secure and that only correct, authorized and tested version are installed
- Ensure the missed configurations/lessons learned from previous release or SIT and other environments are incorporated into the deployment plan
- Agree to the exact content and roll-out plan for the release, through liaison with IT Change Management teams seek proper internal director approval and ensure changes are reviewed and approved by development directors
- Plan & schedule meetings and follow-up on action items.

Work Schedule and Location:
8-5 Mon-Fri with Occasion out of hrs and weekends, night coverage
Temple Terrace, FL primary work location and Irving, TX secondary work location to be considered
Must carry a pager and respond with 5 minutes of being paged

Required Skills:
Candidate should have excellent technical and analytical skills, superb attention to detail & an outstanding process-oriented perspective on various IT functions. We are looking for an enthusiastic problem-solver who is comfortable taking charge, making good decisions on the fly and formulating creative solutions to day-to-day problems, all while handling multiple tasks simultaneously with ease. Comfortable working independently as well as on a team, the successful candidate should be highly self-motivated.
Required Tools/Software:
- Strong IT skills; comfortable with computer-based tools, processes and workflows
- Advanced level experience with IBM WebSphere product suite (WAS, WPS & MQ)
- Advanced level experience with UNIX and MS window platforms
- Advanced-level experience with MS Word and Excel; experience with MS Power Point
- Working-level experience on IT projects
- Sharepoint and Web/HTML/XML skills a plus
- Familiarity with Release Packaging applications such as CVS, System V packaging, Clearcase and various window based application etc

- Excellent problem-solving skills; able to formulate creative solutions to day-to-day problems and make good decisions on the fly
- Detail-oriented, but capable working at High level as well

Experience & Education:
- Minimum 5 years of release management experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects, schedules and budgets
- High -level understanding of the IT processes
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (or its equivalent) from a 4-year college or university
