Job Description

Our client is a successful real estate investor and manager in Southern Ontario. It specializes in Canadian commercial real estate opportunities, with a focus on mid-size properties in the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario.  The Company also offers a full range of property management services, for mid-size office, industrial and retail buildings.


The Position:

 

Based in Toronto, the Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for:


-          Accounts payable (suppliers, salaries, etc)

-          Bank deposits (physical deposits and recording into Yardi)

-          Entering leasing data into Yardi

-          Accounts Receivable for tenants

-          Presentation of Budget Books

-          Organization of annual condo meetings

-          Assist with 3rd party year-end audit; organize, manage and provide information

-          Preparation of annual invoices for all tenants/condo owners

-          Miscellaneous General Administration support


Qualifications:


-          Minimum five years real estate accounting experience

-          Minimum five years general accounting experience

-          Proficient with Yardi (commercial), Excel and Word

-          Minimum three years administration experience

-          A University degree and/or recognized accounting designation would be desirable
