DUTIES:  You will be responsible for:  (1) Managing overall computer operations for this advanced, complex, state of the art, mission-critical MICROSOFT based enterprise environment; (2) Directly managing a team of five (managers or team leaders) and through this reporting team managing an indirect computer staff of 20-25 computer professionals; (3) Infrastructure (PC, LAN, WAN, SAN, VoIP, wireless, video, data center, mobile computing, telecommunications, etc.) strategy, planning, design, monitoring, security, and support; (4) All database strategy, planning, design, monitoring, and support of a large (15+ TB), clustered MS SQL Server database environment; (5) Managing the organizational help desk and technical support organization, ensuring that Service Level Agreement (SLA) agreements and expectations are met and/or exceeded and core systems are available, scalable, and secure per company requirements; (6) Evaluating, analyzing, designing, implementing, leading, and monitoring computing disaster recovery and business continuity processes, procedures, guidelines, and improvements on an effective proactive basis ; (7) Direct and indirect project management where necessary across the computing enterprise on an ongoing basis; (8) Staff development and succession planning with a strong emphasis on coaching, mentoring, and identifying needed training and educational programs; (9) Reporting to a “C” level officer, working closely with a peer team of directors emphasizing collaboration, sharing, and joined effort to ensuring that the needs and expectations of organizational stake holders, business partners, external customers, and third party organizations are met and/or exceeded.

REQUIRED:

MUST have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar.

MUST have 15+ years of STRONG/CURRENT experience in the Information Technology industry.

MUST have 7+ years of STRONG/CURRENT management responsibility with direct hire/fire, budget experience and with SIGNIFICANT experience in staff development, coaching, mentoring as well as identifying necessary training and ongoing development necessary for staff succession planning.

MUST come from a MEDIUM sized MICROSOFT (Active Directory, MS Exchange, MS SQL Server) based computing environment supporting .NET and C# n-tier and web based development. 

MUST have a track record of continued successful accomplishment having grown from a very hands on technical role in MS SQL Server database -or- MICROSOFT networking -or- MICROSOFT data center management into an IT leadership role.

MUST have STRONG/CURRENT structured project management responsibility with a strong adherence to methodology and metrics.

MUST have SUPERB communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. 

MUST have significant RELATIONSHIP BUILDING skills with a history or relationship cultivation and heavy interaction to the “C” level. 

MUST have a strong track record of evaluating, analyzing, designing, implementing, leading, and monitoring effective and efficient processes to proactively improve computing and staff performance while effectively ensuring maximum value to the stakeholders for IT spending.
