Job Description

Blue Chip Commodities Trading Group based in Canary Wharf, London. We are looking for a Cost Performance Analyst to join our Central Finance Planning & Performance Team.

The Planning & Performance team’s responsibilities are:
Development, analysis and communication of cost performance.
Coordination and submission of the plan.
Support the functional leadership and Central Planning and Performance Management (PPM) team.
 
This output is used by leadership to monitor & control FCC and make informed & timely business decisions.

Key accountabilities:
Help with delivery of the quarterly cost analysis accurately and timely for Executive Committee and functional head including CFO and CRO. Attention to details is critical in this role.
Maintenance of the central cost data and provision of detailed data analysis to facilitate cost control and for other ad hoc queries in appropriate form.
Provide support in the annual Planning process.
Working closely with the regional PPM community to understand the cost drivers and storylines for quarterly reporting and forecasting.
Key player in the cost allocation discussion and represent the central team participating in system-related projects.
Understand the various cost drivers for costs.

The incumbent will need to communicate across business segments, functions, PPM organisations and Group contacts.

This role will provide exposure to the global PPM Team, central teams and broader Group and other functional teams.

A key aspect of the role is to provide insight into the data provided, both actuals and forecasts to allow senior stakeholders to focus on key issues and insights

Essential Education:
Degree level education.
Formal training and experience in the areas of finance, control or systems.

Essential experience and job requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to be able to work with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders and users at all levels
Finance background, preferably qualified accountant.
Excellent Excel skills, preferably Visual Basic

Desirable criteria & qualifications : Understand reporting processes and underlying SAP systems, interface with ECCS would be an advantage
