This position is for a Sr. Linux/Unix Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Linux/Unix Systems Engineer to build, and support server installations, apply patches and manage systems. The Systems Engineer will also primarily be supporting applications.

The ideal engineer is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Responsibilities:
-Red Hat Enterprise Linux installation and patch management
-Sun Solaris installation and patch management
-Security compliance and auditing for all systems
-Performance monitoring and the availability of systems
-Participate in on-call schedule to resolve production issues
-Prioritize and handle requests from application teams
-Documents processes and updates existing documentation as needed
--Experience working in a virtualized environment and deployment of complex information systems

Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
-Experience with Linux/UNIX Systems
-Experience working in a virtualized environment
--Experience in backup/recovery support and administration practices utilizing Veritas NetBackup
-Scripting skills
-Self motivated and driven
-Clear and effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
-Ability to work independently

Corp to Corp or 1099 Independent All Inclusive Rate  $55 to $60 per hour
We (No Benefits)  $45 to $52 per Hour.
